Our Story

Cool Dog Bandanas was founded by a young, Maltese Poodle named Mochi. He was born in Flint, Michigan around the time of the water crisis. At a young age, Mochi was adopted by a family in the metropolitan Detroit area where he currently resides.  He is a true rags to riches story.

Despite his family wanting him to pursue a formal education, Mochi decided to follow his passion for business. He was not especially fond of dog training due the rigid structure of the classes and his very short attention span.

Like other famous entrepreneurs, Mochi left school and opened his first business in the family garage. After several unsuccessful ventures, he came up with the idea creating an online dog bandana store after he was given a lame looking bandana from his groomer. It was at that very moment that the light bulb went off in his head and he knew his business destiny was in creating and selling totally cool and hip bandanas.

With this idea in mind, he created his own store to offer affordable, yet high quality bandanas for other dogs like him to wear. Thus, Mochi became the President, Founder, and spokesdog of Cool Dog Bandanas. He serves as the fabric buyer of all of his products and insists that they are all hand sewn in the United States (by his grandmother on her old sewing machine).

When not working on the business, Mochi enjoys chewing up the carpet in his house, annoying his cat sister Cricket, and barking incessantly at squirrels.  Whenever possible, he loves to escape from his house so his family has to chase him through the neighborhood. His neighbors are not so amused.
